1. The service

Insurers Global is a free directory of licensed insurance companies, reinsurers and related entities, with a public JSON API. It is provided "as is" as a public information service.

2. Not a licence register

The directory is compiled from regulator registers and market sources and is periodically re-verified. It is not the official register of any supervisory authority and does not confirm that any entity is currently authorised to transact insurance business. Always confirm with the relevant regulator before relying on an entry for any regulated, contractual or financial decision. We accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on the directory.

3. Data licence

Directory data is licensed underCreative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. You may copy, adapt and redistribute it, including commercially, provided you credit "KAFS North America, insurers.global" with a link. A commercial data licence that removes the attribution requirement and adds support is available on the partners page.

4. Fair use of the API

The API is free and unauthenticated. Please cache responses, identify your client in the User-Agent header, and keep request rates reasonable. We may block clients that degrade the service for others.

5. Sponsored content

Placements marked "Sponsored" or "Featured" are paid for. They are always labelled and never change which entities are listed, how they are classified or their verification status.

6. Intellectual property

Website code is released under the MIT licence. The KAFS name, wordmark and star are trademarks of Kenbright and may not be used without permission. Regulator and company names are the property of their owners and are used for identification only.
