Aquí el domicilio procede de las filas del registro: el registro del Departamento de Seguros de Texas indica el estado de domicilio de cada compañía, y una cautiva inscrita en el registro de cautivas de Vermont está domiciliada en Vermont. Por eso, la lista de un estado reúne las aseguradoras de este directorio con sede legal allí, no el registro propio de su supervisor con todas las aseguradoras que autoriza.
